Authentic Welcome Dinner In Vilnius

Welcome to Lithuania! 

Check into your hotel room in Vilnius and unwind.

In the evening: a welcome dinner ! Enjoy your first taste of Lithuanian cuisine at a local restaurant and get to know your new travel mates and tour leader better.

Vilnius 101 + Trakai Castle

After breakfast, explore the Old Town in Vilnius (UNESCO World Heritage Site) , where Europe’s greatest architectural styles blend together.

Visit the Cathedral Square (the main square: perfect for people watching), the beautiful Church of Casimir and a range of historic castles and towers.

Later: an excursion to Trakai. Relax on the grounds of the dreamy Trakai castle, located in the middle of a lake: a view straight out of a fairytale! We’ll also explore the museum and national park here.

A Hundred Thousand Crosses  + Rundale Palace & Garden

This morning: head to the Hill of Crosses. An impressive hill that stretches for 12 kms, with over a 100,000 crosses dotting the horizon, giant crucifixes, statues and effigies, each having an interesting story to tell.

Then: continue to Rundale, where we’ll visit the Rundale Palace. Its interior is a work of masterpiece- crystal chandeliers, silk wallpapers, elegant sculptures, luxurious tiled fireplaces, mirrors, galleries, refined colours and frescos made by famous Italian artists Francesco Martini and Carlo Zucci. We’ll also visit the Rundale Palace Garden here, an absolute treat to look at- carved out in clear geometric shapes with a beautiful symmetric layout.

We’ll then head to Riga, the capital city of Latvia. Check into your hotel and unwind for the day.

Riga 101

After breakfast at the hotel, meet and greet your guide in Riga, capital city and once a mighty medieval port along the Baltic Sea.

Up next: the Old Town (3 hrs). Spend the entire morning exploring the city’s iconic attractions, including the St.Peter’s Church (with the famous weather rooster on top), the Powder Tower (a medieval defensive structure) that takes you back in time to the Middle Ages.

Don’t forget to ask the guide about the Three Brothers, the Great and Small Guilds - the oldest stone residential dwellings in Riga.  Or the intriguing story behind the Cat House and why there’s an angry-looking cat statue on the turret!

You’ll also visit the Riga Castle, the Parliament, the Monument of Liberty and magnificent Opera House. And all throughout, enjoy a taste of traditional Latvian dishes.

Later: explore the Riga Central Market. One of Europe's largest markets, it covers close to 72000 square meters, built from five zeppelin hangars left from the World War era.

Here, taste some of Latvia's most delightful food options: freshly-smoked eel, farm-fresh vegetables, drinks like lamprey and cabbage juice, smoked chicken wings, belashi, pickled cucumber and more!

In the evening: enjoy a traditional Latvian dinner at a local restaurant.

Picture Perfect Sigulda

Today, catch a glimpse of Latvia’s scenic beauty at Sigulda, a picturesque town known just 50 kilometers from the capital.

Located along the Gauja River Valley, the town holds plenty of surprises, with many scenic trails trees that come in all colours, and 800 year-old castles filled with legends and stories. You can even choose to go on a cable car ride and set eyes on the gorgeous river flanked by forests splashed with a colourful canopy. Or you can visit the medieval castle here and imagine yourself to be a knight, exploring the grounds and maybe, even take part in some fun archery.

Afterwards: head to Tallinn where we’ll check into our hotel rooms.

Tallinn 101 + Crafting Marzipan

Today, we’ll set out to explore Estonia’s charming capital.

Tallinn is the perfect blend of the old and the new. This UNESCO listed old town has no end of medieval charms, with beautiful squares, elegant buildings and ancient churches that you’ll explore with an English-speaking guide.

First up: the Old Town, where you’ll set eyes on the 600-year-old Gothic town hall, the world’s oldest functioning pharmacy (it’s been there for close to 700 years!) and the Toompea Hill, where you can get a bird’s eye view of the entire city.
Recommended: head to the top of Tallinn tower. Tied to a harness, you can walk around the edge of the tower to get a panoramic view of the city. And don’t forget to shop for fine leather-bound books - a speciality.

Then: it’s time for a Marzipan workshop! Spend close to an hour trying your hand at Estonia's famed art of making sweets. Usually made of honey and ground almonds, these intricately crafted come in different shapes and figures - owls, maidens, barn houses and many more! Time to get creative and maybe, come up with own Marzipan figures.

Lahemaa National Park + Farewell Dinner

This morning, get ready for an exciting day of long nature walks, scenic splendour and beach time.  We’ll set out to explore Lahemaa National Park, one of Europe’s biggest and characteristic of Estonia’s vast swathes of forested lands and natural beauty (over half of the country is covered in forests).

In Lahemaa, relish exploring stony and sandy seashores, far away from city life and the crowd. You’ll stumble upon picturesque bogs, pine forests, old-growth forests, cliff forests, alvars and rivers that have cut into the limestone cliffs. And beautiful, secluded beaches with sandy shores - it’s one magical day spent admiring nature.

Later: drive back to Tallinn, after which it’s time for a farewell dinner! Celebrate your last night in Tallinn enjoying a 3 course Estonian dinner with your new friends.

Time To Head Home

It’s your last day in Tallinn! After breakfast and goodbyes, you’ll be transferred to the airport to catch your flight back home. Have a safe journey!

Bang on the centre of the city and a few minutes away from the Town Hall. The hotel is great if you're looking for good restaurants, historical sites and drinking.

We value the dynamics and intimacy of a small group and therefore restrict it to around 15 people. Our travellers are friendly and open-minded, and at the end of your trip, you will return with new friends, memorable experiences and incredible stories.

A vast majority of our scheduled trips are suitable for people above 18 years old only. However, we do welcome young adults and children on our private group trips.

We believe the early-bird catches the best travel worm :) The early-bird discounts are valid for the first few spots on the group and are not time sensitive. Your travel designer will let you know about the number of spots available.

We have a secure payment gateway that supports payment through credit and debit cards, net-banking and Internet wallets. The payment gateway also supports payment through EMIs. If you are not comfortable with paying online, please let your travel designer know and they'll help you out with alternatives.

Your safety is our number one priority and we design our travel journeys keeping this in mind. We collaborate with tourism boards and there will always be access to emergency contacts and medical support throughout the trip.
