You may optionally visit Syntagma Square and get into the city’s vibe. Enjoy shopping in one of the most popular streets of the city in the Kolonaki area or Ermou, and have a nice, quiet walk at the beautiful alleys of Plaka (the old district) where you can also find a big number of small shops selling souvenirs and other local artefacts.

In the morning, after breakfast at the hotel, embark on your sightseeing tour of the ancient city. Discover the secrets of Athens, including its famous Acropolis on your sightseeing tour. Your expert guide will take you to see the centre of the city, the Constitution Square (Syntagma), the House of Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. On your way to the Acropolis, you will see the Hadrian’s Arch, the Temple of Olympian Zeus, and will make a short stop at the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first Modern Olympic Games were held in 1896. On the Acropolis visit the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally the famous Parthenon. Your first taste of Athens would not be complete without a visit to the Acropolis Museum, a modern architectural building where, at last, the statues have found their home. Here, you can admire the wonders and architectural masterpieces of the classical era. After the tour, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. Take a stroll through the Plaka district, located under the Acropolis.

Charge your batteries with breakfast at the hotel and leave towards the Corinth Canal, where you will make the first stop. If you are lucky, you will be able to witness the passage of a ship through the canal. Travel back three thousand years ago to visit the strategic enclave of the powerful Argolis, Mycenae, city of the Atrides cursed by the gods. Its impressive ruins evoke the memory of this fortress-city, ‘rich in gold’ in the words of Homer, who ruled by tyrant warriors, looters and hunters, was the cradle of the Mycenaean civilization. You will begin the visit appreciating the Cyclopean Walls, made with stones joined without any mortar. Cross the famous Gate of Lions, where the symmetry of the shapes is masterfully achieved. Enter the acropolis, with your guide that will explain in detail, the history of the palace and its tomb circles, especially the Treasure of Atreus or Tomb of Agamemnon, the largest and most beautiful of all, with its majestic burial chamber. You will also visit the museum of the archaeological site. Next visit in the middle of the soft hills of Argolida, the remains of the sanctuary of Aesculapius, hero and god of Medicine, whose oracle came to consult all of Ancient Greece. Aesculapius became so wise that he managed to resurrect the dead, thus earning the enmity of Hades and the jealousy of Zeus, who killed him and whose remains were buried right here. Patients came to put themselves under the treatment of Epidauria therapy, which included physical exercise and intellectual hobbies. This explains the importance that was given to the theatre and sports facilities since the distraction of patients was part of the healing process of their souls. The theatre of Epidaurus was restored in 1954 and adapted for the representation of old works and lyrical concerts and shows, with a capacity of almost 16,000 spectators, vision and acoustics are fully guaranteed from anywhere in the cave. Lunch included and return to Athens at approximately 07:30 pm.

Delight in a tasty breakfast at the hotel. Leave Athens heading to Arachova village (940m), pass by and arrive at the archaeological site of Delphi. Delphi was one of the main religious centres of Antiquity, when the sanctuary of Apollo, god of harmony and music, guardian of the sacred laws of Zeus, attracted countless pilgrims who came to consult the oracle. Legend has it that Delphi was founded by Zeus, who, desirous of knowing the centre of the mute over him who reigned, sent two eagles to recognize his empire. The birds stood on top of the Parnassus and there they discovered the ‘omphalos’ navel, which made Delphi the centre of the Universe. From very early the Oracle of Delphi acquired great influence throughout the known world. The prophecies of the priestess of Apollo greatly influenced individual decision-making and sometimes had a huge impact on the history of ancient cities and states. The god spoke through her in an incomprehensible language that the priestesses heard and interpreted. An atmosphere of mystery still envelops its ruins. Tour the Secret Street that went up to the temple of Apollo and was decorated with innumerable offerings from Greek and foreign cities, in addition to the statues, the cities dedicated to the god the so-called treasures to house the offerings in the form of small temples, such as the treasure of Sifnos, the treasure of Thebes or the treasure of the Athenians, which you will visit. A visit to the Delphi Museum is entirely mandatory once you are at the site. It is one of the most important Museums in Greece, it houses in a simple and pleasant way the works of art found in Delphi during the excavations carried out by the French School of Athens. In the lobby you will find a conical block of marble covered by a sculpted hairnet, it is a Hellenistic copy of the navel that marked the centre of the known world. You will also see the famous statue of the Charioteer of Delphi, perfectly preserved, dating from the archaic period and was part of a bronze votive offering that represented the victorious chariot of the Olympic Games. Lunch included and return to Athens at approximately 07:30 pm.
