Day Wise Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to Vietnam!

Xin chao! Vietnam, here we come!

A representative will meet you at Hanoi’s Noi Bai International airport and drive you to your hotel. Red yellow-starred Vietnamese flags decorate every road and alleyway; try to keep count of them, we guarantee you’ll lose count.

In the evening: gear up for a thrilling Vespa ride through the city! Ride through bustling streets, narrow alleys, and beautiful tree-lined avenues like a true local, visiting iconic monuments. And on top of this, we’ll also be eating plenty of street food along the way. You’ll get to fill your tummies with local specialties found only in Hanoi.

You’ll also get a taste of Vietnam’s vibrant nightlife as we ride to local bars. Recommended: wind down the evening with a cup of ca phe trung (traditional egg coffee) or bia hoi (draft beer) for something with a little more kick. Don’t forget to raise a toast to the start of an incredible holiday with your new crew!

Day 2

Halong Bay Cruise

Breakfast at the hotel, and then we’ll drive to Halong Bay (4 hours). Famed world-over for its spectacular seascape of thousands of limestone karsts rising like dragon's teeth from the sea, it is one of Vietnam’s crowning glories.

Upon arrival, you’ll board the 'Indochina Sails', a sleek modern beauty built in the style of a traditional Vietnamese junk. Sit back and enjoy the view as you sail by little fishing towns and looming, rocky outcrops. (Please note that the Halong Bay cruise is operational based on weather conditions. In case of bad weather, alternate arrangements will be made).

Lunch: enjoy a buffet onboard.

In the afternoon you can choose from several activities: a cooking demonstration with chef on board, an optional traditional massage, or a refreshing swim. End the day with a gastronomic set-menu dinner, as the sun sinks slowly below the horizon, flushing the sky and clouds a lotus pink.

Day 3

Tai-Chi On The Bay

Take in the magic of a Halong Bay sunrise as you start the day with a guided Tai Chi session on the deck, practicing a series of slow, rhythmic, and meditative body movements that will help align your brain, body and breath.

Then, take in the view of beautiful spots including Trinh Nu and Hang Trong, the Virgin Cave and the Cave of the Wind, which is encrusted with stalactites and stalagmites, before having buffet brunch on board.

We’ll cruise back to the dock, disembark and drive back to Hanoi, and you’ll be free to spend the evening as you please.

Day 4

Hoi An 101

After breakfast, you’ll be driven to the airport where you will catch your flight to Danang (approximate flight time is 1.5 hours). Upon arrival, you’ll proceed directly to Hoi An, stopping en route to have lunch at a seaside restaurant.

After we check-in, walk the ancient streets of Hoi An, lined with Chinese traders’ homes and wooden houses reincarnated as restaurants, cafés, and outlets for local artists, craftsmen and tailors. Paper lanterns line the streets and a small river flows through - a 100 candle lit lamps floating on the water - it's as beautiful as it sounds.

Then, you’re free to spend the rest of the day exploring the town and shopping. Recommended: Hoi An is known for silk clothing and accessories.

Dinner is on your own.

Day 5

Local Fishing Village Experience

Today, you’ll be free to spend the morning as you please. Explore, eat, shop and relax.

Recommended: visit a local fishing village for hands-on activities that will give you a unique glimpse of life as a Vietnamese fisherman (4 hours). At the village, help fishermen catch fish, and ride a traditional basket boat through waterways. You’ll end this delightful experience with lunch on board. (Please note that this is an optional tour at an additional price of INR 6,000.00 + GST per person, based on a group minimum of 10 people.)

If you choose to remain in Hoi An, you’ll have lunch on your own and then meet up with the rest of the group at the hotel. 

Relax in Hoi An for the rest of the evening.

Day 6

Onwards to Cambodia!

You will be driven to the airport to catch your flight to Siem Reap (approximate flight duration is around 2 hours).

Our local representative will be at the airport to welcome you to Cambodia. We’ll head out to a local restaurant for dinner. Stuff yourself with traditional dishes. We won’t judge.

Day 7

Angkor temple hopping!

Grab your camera, pull on some comfortable shoes and channel your inner 'Tomb Raider' as we head deep into the Cambodian jungle to explore the temple complexes of Angkor today.

First up: Angkor Thom, which means ‘the great city’ in Khmer. To enter, you’ll drive over an ancient bridge flanked by 54 stone warriors and 54 stone demons. It feels like you’re entering an ancient kingdom of gods and giants, and the beginning of a legendary adventure. 

Then: Bayon Temple with its iconic mysterious giant smiling stone faces of Lokesvara, the terrace of Elephants and the terrace of the Leper King. We will also visit Ta Prohm temple, where scenes from The Tomb Raider were filmed.

In the afternoon: visit Angkor Wat, the star of the complex. Decorated with intricate stone carvings and crowned with symbolic lotus bud towers, it’s a testament to the power of the ancient Khmer Empire.

Then, end your temple run by watching the sun set over the Cambodian countryside from the upper terraces of the Pre Rup temple.

Day 8

Time to head home

Unfortunately, it’s time to head home. You will be driven to the airport to catch your flight home. Safe travels!
