If you, like us, love a good drink, you’ll love what’s coming up! We put together some of our favourite drinks from across the world and this list is making us thirsty. Take a look. 🙂
Peru: Pisco Sour
Made with Pisco, lime, simple syrup, and egg white, this is a great drink for a cocktail party and won’t give you a headache after.
Bhutan: Whiskey
We were as surprised as you are when we found out the Bhutanese were ardent whisky connoisseurs. From their signature K5 (created in honor of the new King) to Special Courier & Royal Supreme, there’s a whole bunch of them to choose from.
Cuba: Mojito
No Visit to Cuba is complete without trying the awesome Mojito. Made from Rum, sugar, mint, lime, and sparkling water, this drink comes approved from us and Hemingway.
Greece: Ouzo
Distilled from grape remnants and flavored with anise (and other spices) Ouzo’s licorice-like flavor is typically consumed neat or with just a little bit of water. Pairs well with typical Greek fare such as grilled octopus, olives, and fried potatoes.
Portugal: Port Wine
Port wine is like regular wine but boozier and sweeter. Produced exclusively in the Douro Valley in the northern provinces of Portugal, it’s often served as a dessert wine. What’s not to love?
Sri Lanka: Arrack
Distilled from coconut sap, arrack’s taste falls somewhere between whisky and rum. In Sri Lanka it’s mixed with ginger beer for a refreshing pick-me-up.
